Uberization of Workforce

As the Digital Era advances, IT companies are looking for new ways to structure their workforce; one of them is the Uberization of the Workforce, sometimes called Gig Economy, or Crowd Sourcing, where individuals market their skills online on various platforms. However, even though it is a hot topic in the tech industry right now, the term gig refers to a job that was coined by Jazz musicians in the 1920’s. Even today, almost the entire Hollywood and Bollywood industries rely on the gig or uberization-based economies.
